This season started off with a bang as Mel's oven actually exploded during their Signature Challenge. Ruth earned a Peter Pat on the Back for her signature Biscuits with the Boss. Kate H. wowed with her Snickerdoodle Surprise and Amelia impressed with her Christmas Crinkle Cookies.

The Technical this week was set by Simon and the bakers were instructed to make 12 identical Arrowroot biscuits and 12 identical Gingernuts. Kate H. came out on top, narrowly beating out Ruth. Mel's oven cooperated however they had a slight mishap with their flour catching fire, leading to burned biscuits and a last place position in the Technical.

In the Showstopper, Kate H. created a truly amazing Garibaldi Mount Baldy and Kate B. pulled out all the stops with her Tuille Pipe Organ. Mel's knives all disappeared from their workbench which meant their chopped nuts ended up rather large and cumbersome.

Behind the scenes, Opal caused some disruption when she got a whisk caught in the gaffers tape so nothing could be taped down. And Ben and Pat had a little tiff over who would do each of the time calls which meant Holly ended up doing all the time calls for all three challenges.
