WEEK 3: CHOCOLATE WEEK

Perennial favorite Chocolate Week kicked off with a White Chocolate Signature. Ruth again did an amazing job with her Caramelized Kahlua Cheesecake but all three judges went gaga over Amelia's Bad Romance Valentine's Cake. Matt and Crystelle both had some problems with their custard fillings and Kate B's White Macadamia cake looked amazing but was deemed rather bland by the judges.

The Technical this week was set by Peter who asked for one gigantic Chocolate Raspberry Bar. Amelia wowed the judges and managed to finish in enough time to assist Dana in setting up the Gingham Altar. Matt dropped his bake en route to the table and despite his claims that he was tripped, the judges still awarded him last place.

The Showstoppers featured a stunning array of themed candy bars. Ali and Brendan both had problems with their chocolate tasting burned. Matt's showstopper ended up tasting delicious but looking atrocious and was missing several of the required elements. Amelia's Birthday Celebration Candy Cake took the proverbial cake, earning her this week's Star Baker.

Holly very much enjoyed Ruth's Kahlua Cheesecake but Luis had to have a little chat with her about not drinking the baker's ingredients. Ben and Tom and Terry and Pat delayed filming slightly when they decided to play poker by the fire pit between the Signature and Technical and lost track of time. Filming was further delayed when Opal when to get them and tripped over one of the tent pegs and pulled down an entire wall of the tent.
